love the earth tones of the shot, but in this compsoition the dark areas don't serve any purpose ... so they are just BLACK and nothing else... would be different if your center of attraction wasn't actually *in the center* of the pic.

I also like this kind of pictures....Beutiful lighting....nice textures....great misterious mood....I maybe would have cropped a little from the left to direct more the attention to the bright part....still very good photo!

This is a great shot. (heh... but I've seen it already, haven't I?) Agree with Mandanapale & Fraser - the darkness enhances the mysterious depths to this scene. The 'earth tones' (thanx Daniela) and definition are faultless and totally professional.

Thanks all for your kind comments and helpful crits. About the big black areas, I'll leave them for the moment because the opinions are kind of divided about it.

About the bunker, I looked it up what kind of bunker it is, it's called 'Regelbau 623' I found a site with photos of the actual bunker I used for this photo, the only thing is,.. ..it is in Dutch.
